Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Department of Biotechnology and Government Mata Karma Kanya Mahavidyalaya Mahasamund on sixteen points like research placement. On this occasion, Head of the Department of Microbiology, Dr. Swetlana Nagal informed that under this program, the girl students of life science department of this college will get assistance in activities like short research program, internship training, research publication guidance along with skill development program, placement in the field of biology under the Research Exchange Program, which will benefit the students of Mahasamund region.
Under this program, this year a group of 12 students of NEP 2020 MSc Microbiology is going to start their summer internship in the Department of Biotechnology, in which the students will receive practical training for advanced techniques like tissue culture, DNA amplification by PCR, transportation, testing of recombinant DNA under guidance of Dr. Nagendra Chandravanshi and his research team. On this occasion, the Principal of the college, Dr. SB Kumar, thanked the Vice Chancellor of Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, Professor Sachchidanand Shukla and the Head of the Department of Biotechnology, Professor Keshav Kant Sahu, and said that this agreement will provide new opportunities in the field of science to the girl students of Mahasamund region. Professors of Mata Karma College, Dr. Saraswati Verma, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Mr. Om Prakash Patel, Mr. Arvind Sahu, Khageshwar Prasad, Ms. Vandana Yadav, Ms. Kavita Gahir and students have expressed happiness for this agreement.
